I have a Woodmizer LT-40 which I use to process lumber for customers and bowl blanks I use and sell. This is in between my day job as a finance professional

I bought the mill used in 2007 after getting a job that was too big for my Norwood Lumbermate. I had a builder need beams from 80 large logs. I had the Norwood since 2005.

During 2007 through 2009, I milled 1 weekend a month on average. That fell off from 2009 through 2012. I think I milled 2 or 3 times per year when the economy sank. This year it has picked back up. I have milled 3 times so far this year, with 2 more jobs scheduled in the next 60 days.

Nice setup, and a great way to supplement your wood supply with a tool that (hopefully) is paying for itself!

Since you are adding actual value to the economy by milling logs, we won’t hold your day job against you. ;-)

I went to your website and found no indication of where your area of operation is. You might even find some business right here if you include your general location.

Good luck!

(Silly me… It says “Detroit area” right in your signature.)
