San Francisco, CA
United States
SPACE: A weird, cramped 25’x25’ two-car/single door garage, where all my tools must share the space with 2 cars (which get parked in a weird angled head to tail configuration), a washer & dryer, a terribly old and large furnace, and water heater.
Large Power Tools:
3hp cabinet saw
14” bandsaw + riser
13” planer
6” jointer
16-32 drum sander
12” benchtop drill press
10” SCMS
A fair amount of Incra
More Festool than my wife would say I should have
A growing hand tool collection
Dust collection methodology:
Fein vac from tool to tool plus a ceiling-mounted air filter
I’d love a permanently plumbed DC but space and noise are issues.
Sharpening setup (cuts arm hairs and gives 0.001 shavings…):
Veritas MkII guide
1000/6000 combo stone ($30 AMZ)
Green compound on MDF
Things I lust after but can’t get until I make major upgrades to my space (e.g. a new house):
Hammer A3 31
A 19” bandsaw
A lathe
