6 days to go!
I got a call today from UPS. When I bought my new drum sander from Grizzly, I was told not to expect it before August 20th. That sucker is gonna be here Wednesday! Now I can complete the cabinet doors way ahead of schedule. The sandpaper rolls came today and the European hinges came too. Very soon I will have Momma in the palm of my hand. I won’t go innto all the things I have to atone for. lol All in the range of picking my nose in public. lol
We don’t have doors yet and she is already filling them up! I will order my new camera tomorrow so I can show and tell for all.
Now I can make this monster endgrain cutting board counter top to top off the whole thing before my visitor heads back to the hills of….................! You though I was gonna slip, huh?

OK, I have prepared to handle the 320 pounds involved in this thing. but where o’ where to put it. Since Momma is so happy with me, I asked if I could have it in a corner of the dinningroom. Guess What? Momma ain’t THAT happy! She offered me a spot next to my bed where there is no electrical plug in. The problems of a small shop just never seem to go away. So back to planning and development!
4 days to go!
Spent all day at the hospital meeting with doctors about my son’s problems and hashing out what solutions are the best for him.
3 days to go!
Today we measure and cut the door parts and get things ready for the delivery. I hope I have enough wood for 7 doors. the drawer fronts are on and ready for finish. It sure is nice to see things moving right along even when I have to leave for most of the day!

Doors are in the glue up stages. Stiles and panels are glued up and the raqils are cut.
1 day to go!
Tomorrow afternoon if D-day and we are ready for the drum sander to go to work! Pant! Pant!
Yeehaw! the eagle has landed! Works great right outa the box! Now I wait for the mobile base to arrive. god I love these waiting games…....not!
Hot of the truck!
OK, let’s have alook at this thing.
Yep! looks just like the picture in the catalog.
And we wait for the mobile base. the stand is much too high for wheelchair use. I’ll add a spacer of about 6-8 inches between the base and the sander for my use.
