Last year Bert Flores and I built boxes for my grand daughter. Bert made her a beautiful jewelry box and I made a keepsakes box. She was supposed to be going in for a removal of her brain tumor that is pressing on her hypothalamus and pituitary gland. She has suffered from hydro encephalitis for about seven years now and has had to have the tubes changes every 9 to 12 months to relieve the pressure on the brain.
The worst part of all this is that the father and step mother refuse to up date us and we only find out what is happening when Megan gets to visit.
Megan was down from Northern California this past week end and we got brought up to speed on her condition.
This tumor is malignant, but is a very slow growing tumor. Now get this….No doctors have every seen this type cancer. And they want to study it and place her in a special program that pays any and all medical bills for her life. There are 60-70 cancer specialists that are going to be involved in this study at UC Davis, just out side Sacramento.
And since it is a brand new type of cancer Megan gets to name it.
Megan graduates from high school this June and is set to attend college to get an RN with a BS degree as well. We are very proud of her positive attitude and fighting spirit. Even with all the hospital stays and surgeries she has maintained a high GPA. Needless to say we are very proud of her.
I was able to talk with her this weekend and she knows what the outcome may be and is hoping for the best and preparing for the worst.
Thank you, Bert for picking up her spirits with your beautiful present to her. We will love you and Agnes forever for your gift of love to her.
I also want to thank Martin for this wonderful web site that has brought so many wonderful friends from all over the world into our lives. I think the love and care the members share is what makes this place so special. Wood working may be the theme of the web site, but it is the action of each members love that makes it what it really is.

A great big thank yuou to all from Megan and us to you.

that’s the spirit
always good to get the truth
and that she is aware and willing to help
make this doubly good

your love is showing too brother
look who she turns to
for all the love she needs

bless all involved with this healing

and mattie
for all you do
from your bottomless heart
take all the joy
life has to offer
and shower in it
warm and cleansing
to your soul

What a great outcome for Megan and for yourselves who love her too. I’m sure this will give her renewed hope and who know, maybe a cure.

Thank you one and all. And I will see to it that Megan sees this so she can see how many wonderful people care about her. Your thoughts and prayers are appreciated!
David, you know that you are our role model in how you have dealt with your very painful sciatica. That takes real fortitude and inner strength.

And Alistar, thank you. and please give our love to your lovely Bronwen from us.
