Well today, we looked at a 2000 sq ft house with 7 bedrooms 3 baths an attached two car garage and a detached 3 car garage. Asking price…......Are you ready? $114,000….Trust me I’m serious. Tomorrow as soon as I know if everything is permitted, I make an offer and post my good faith money.

Let me say here and now….There is something wrong with this, but I haven’t found out what ….yet. There are 7 frigging doors leading out of the house and not one is set right. They are all 1/2 inch high at the bottom and you can see sunlight half way around the door. No A/C,Just two swamp coolers. The paper work says new but It is obvious that they have been up there for years.

To night I’m meeting with a contractor that owes me a few favors and see if he will do the inspection of the property for me. I would rather pay him than an inspector recommended by the realtor. The last time I used their man, it cost me $5000.00 for a new septic system.Staytuned

Sounds more like a motel than a house, but best of luck in any case.
The 3-car might make it all worthwhile!

Hopefully it all works out. We bought our present house without and inspection (this was in the days when houses would sell before they were listed) as we were afraid of losing a rare chance at house we like and could afford. It turned out well for use, I hope you are equally successful.

Swamp coolers only get better with age, and you need good ventilation with them.LOL Hope there isn’t anything major going on sounds like a deal.

Rand, holy smokes, I wouldnt be able to sleep until I get the offer in. Unbelievable. Not so much about the 7 bedrooms, but more for the 2 car attached and the 3 car unattached. I am drooling. God luck. I will say an extra prayer for you for good news on the inspection and getting the house.

There are a lot of advantages to a detached shop. Good luck and keep us posted.

Sure glad my contractor buddy looked at this. Save me a lot of heart ache and money. The only way I could have come out on it is they would drop to 72k and I take out an FHA loan, then I could get an extra 35k to make repairs. So much for this one.
