I can’t express how thankful I am for all the help in getting my sander’s conveyor running again. Living in the middle of nowhere, I was unable to find a vendor for the bridge rectifier within an hour of here so I ordered one (actua...

I’m a Little (old) Left-handed Lady LumberJill who Loves the Lord, Lumber, (and aLliterations). I’m a re-tired (that means tired all over again) advertising manager who has been playing with wood for about 25 years.
I’m practical and frugal, with a workshop of CHEAP tools. I enjoy making pieces of furniture on which we would never otherwise splurge. I make the simple ones with straight lines. My husband makes the gorgeous ones with curves, carving, and details (which usually end up as gifts). As I noted from another woodworker signature "I’m not good, but I’m slow" which, with my list of woodworking projects, should keep me busy another 50 years.
Without high-speed internet, I don't post many projects or do much blogging, because I’d rather spend my time in the shop than wait for “the next page to load.”
(By the way, the photo shows another activity I enjoy. That's a northern I caught with a tiny hook with a little piece of a red worm while panfishing.)

PTL! The bearing is finally off! I eventually came to the realization that I should remove the motor to make the remaining parts easier to maneuver. I removed all the bearing beads with no difficulty since the raceway was broken and I had alr...
Planer cutterhead bearing replacement #1: HELP! Can anyone give me advice on replacing bearings on my planer cutterhead?
Last week my planer blew a bearing on the cutterhead. It is a NuMark 12” planer, more than 30 years old. The company went out of business many years ago. I cannot determine how to remove the cutterhead. Here’s the issue:1. The cutterhead cas...
