Broken Bandsaw - 7 replies
Anyone know where I might get a replacement part for a 14” Bridgewood bandsaw? I broke the “support” that holds the upper guide blocks and thrust bearing. I could replace it with a Carter product but they cost about half as much as the bandsaw did originally. ThanksLew

Spalted Maple Question - 14 replies
A friend gave me a large piece of spalted maple. It would make a couple of beautiful bowls/platters. My question is- because the wood is very soft and “pithy” should it be stabilized before I try to turn it? And if so, what is the correct procedure for stabilizing wood? Thanks in advance for any information. Lew
