no previous part Part 1 of William Booth series Part 2: Finished »

I was recently asked if I could make something to be auctioned at a fundraiser night at the Salvation Army. The funds from the night are to send Daniel and Shella Smith to The Salvation Army Training collage to become officers (pasters).I knew immediately what I was going to make.
William Booth was the founder of the Salvation Army and he has this amazing speech that sums up the hart and passion of the Salvation Army. My thoughts were to design and scroll saw a portrait of William Booth, and frame it with the speech alongside.
I rang up to get permission and it was given on the condition that I would treat it with respect and tribute is to William Booth, how could I not.
I am very pleased with how it is coming along. Progress has been posted on face book and there is a lot of interest from people from the Church.

It looks great so far! Quite intricate. You sure have a lot of patients! I am sure it will be a big hit. :)
