Leg Vise Bushing - 7 replies

I was reading today that it is a best practice to use a bronze bushing (sleeve bearing) to support the acme screw for a leg vise in the leg of the bench. Does anyone on here do that? If so, does the bushing need to be the full width of the leg? I have been having trouble finding a 1.125” ID sleeve bearing that is 4.5” long. Tha...

Dust Collector Exhaust\Outlet Port Size - 3 replies

I have an old Grizzly G1029 collector that I use with a 6” inlet (part available from Grizzly) and 6” main trunk pipe. Old vs New Jointer - 2 replies

After a few years of some basic woodworking, I am slowly working to replace my collection of Ryobi tools with some higher quality items. I just upgraded my router to the Milwaukee 5625 so I am in the process of starting to save up for the next purchase. While looking on CL, I came across a Delta 37-220 Jointer that appears to be in great shape...

Router Choice - 12 replies

I am trying to break out of analysis paralysis on the purchase of a router that has been going on for a month. I have been dabbling with woodworking for about 5 years now mainly using Ryobi and other cheaper tools. I am ready to start to commit to purchasing higher quality tools and one of the first needs is a nice router. My first plan for t...
