After watching Laura do scroll saw work for about 4 years I decided to build a shop at the beginning of 2011. The job I was doing was running out and I knew that I needed away to make money. Looking at Lauras work I knew there was money to be made if I joined her in making projects. So I cut my first scroll saw piece March of 2011. After that I was hooked. Although I have moved on with my projects I still use the scroll saw for allot of things I do.
We have not made the money I would like to see but we have made all our money back on the wood we bought plus.
I now work in the shop everyday and hope this will be our year to make alittle money. I am constantly pushing myself to do something new and harder while Laura enjoies her scroll saw working.
We did our first craft show in South Lake Tahoe at the end of July 2011 and have not stopped doing them since we started. We are looking forward to April 2012 when the show start again in our area.
Over the summer I met a great man by the name of Robert Triplett a box maker who is the one that turned me on to this sight and has also got me into making box's. I must give credit were credit is due. Thanks Robert.
We have many new project we will be doing this year and we also have our web sight to show them, please stop by and leave a comment.
I also do graphic design work and abstracts so I am able to make all the patterns for Lauras and myself. All but one of my intarsia pieces I made the patterns. I tend to fly by the seat of my pants when I make a project. The picture that Laura and I are standing in is one of my abstracts I put our picture in.
Thanks Dennis Hunter
