Shop Fox Model 1728 - 1 reply Do any of you Lumberjocks out there have this model router table? I have found one I am fairly certain I am going to get. Just wanted to see if I could get some opinions on it first. It would be a huge upgrade from the little table I have right now. There isn’t much info out there that I found through Google. I appreciate any help. |

Curved legs for bar stools - 7 replies I am in a bit of a bind. I have been asked to make some bar stools on short notice. The plans that I have call for the back leg to be curved. I do not own a band saw, so last night I attempted to cut a leg with my jig saw and I was very unhappy with the cut. Other then a band saw, what is the best way to get a good clean cut on these legs? |

Bidding a project - 23 replies I build and sell outdoor furniture as a bit a side gig. I recently had a potential customer contact me about making a table and 4 chairs. The kicker is they want it made out of teak. It looks like the best I can come up with for materials would be $2000. How would you go about calcualting a price for this. This is a set that I do not normally ma... |

I assume that because it is Mahogany it is great for outdoor aplications, but I am really not sure. Thanks for any input. |

Red Oak Adirondack Chair - 5 replies Is there any finish that can be used to make red oak an acceptable wood for outdoor projects? I recently found some pallets that had nice big full 1 inch by 6 inch pieces of red oak. I would really like to turn them into Adirondack chairs to use on our new deck out back, but I also want them to hold up. They will be used on concrete, so they wil... |

Walnut - 4 replies I ran across this ad on craigslist and was wondering what some of you might consider a reasonable offer for this lumber. I am not even sure what I would do with it if I got it. I am not set up to process lumber, even though I have been on the look out for a jointer and planner. http://pensacola.craigslist.org/mat/3550936034.html |

Old Band Saw - 9 replies I am going to go and take a look at a band saw I found on Craigslist, and had a few questions. I think the price is right at $60, but the email I got from the owner says it is probably a 1950s era saw. It is a Delta 14”, but there is no model number on the saw. Other then the obvious things like does it power on, are there any deal breaker... |

Mora - 2 replies Any ideas as to what you could do with something like this? It sounds kind of cool, but I just couldn’t see much use for it unless you are a wood turner. http://pensacola.craigslist.org/mat/3140474277.html |

Cleaning a Table Saw - 6 replies Lets just pretend for a second that your younger brother decided to spill a bottle of water all over the top and inside your table saw. Then he decided not to say anything to you and you noticed it five days later. When you asked him about it he said he didn’t wipe any of the water up because most of it went down inside the saw and he just... |

Rounding over edges - 14 replies I am in the middle of a large order of picnic tables. I need to round over all of the sharp edges as efficiently as possible. I have tried a round over bit in a router and just sanding all of the sharp edges. Neither of these seem to get the job done as quickly as I would like. I am hoping that someone has a technique that I have not thought up,... |

What do you think about your miter saw? - 40 replies I am hoping that I can get a good suggestion from someone out there regarding a possible miter saw purchase. I have been contracted to build 80 picnic tables for a park. I have been surviving so far with a delta 10” miter saw. It has been great for what I needed it for. Before when I cut the 2 X 6 lumber for the legs, I just fudged the cut a bi... |
