This is my first activity on Lumber Jocks and I just wanted to take the time to thank those of you who post on this great forum. By looking through some of the projects that were posted on here I have some great ideas for future projects and today I took some advice from a few of the members here and checked out an add on craigslist for free pallets. Come to find out they were made of white oak. I couldn’t be happier at this point as most of my wood working is done with pine due to cost. The establishment that gave me the mad hookup had about 100 pallets out back so I will be visiting again. Thanks again for the great tip

Welcome to LJs. I felt the same way when I stumbled onto it almost 3 years ago. It is a great site and a wealth of knowledge.

Welcome to lumberjocks, Kris.
