At the moment I volunteer at and work out of 180 Studios, a makerspace in Sonoma County, CA. They have roughly 1300 ft² of floor space in their wood shop alone. They also have a machine shop, 3D printers, laser cutters, robotics lab and more. Working on setting up a small, mostly hand-tool shop in my garage.

Any shop is better than no shop at all, the 180 Studios looks like they have tons of room.

That is a nice shop. Even if it’s not yours and you have access, you can have lot’s of satisfaction and fun if the conditions are right.
