20 posts in 829 days Location: Russell Springs, KY I used to work on a computer, one day after working for 12 hours on a spreadsheet financial model I turned off the light in my office, looked around, and there was absolutely no proof that I'd even sat in the room. I endeavored for something different and after some time doing "other things" settled on an education in boat building at the Landing School in Kennebunkport, ME. While I was there I started making all sorts of goofy things with scrap wood: CD Cases, cutting boards, a chess board, some soap dishes. Little projects to pass the time. Now I'm working as a subcontractor in Southern Kentucky and hoping to build a hobby shop in my storage garage. I have a miter chopsaw, and a 14" bandsaw. I have more hand tools than I'm willing to list. Projects that I will be working on in the coming months include a cedar chest restoration, a new porch swing for my grandfather's house, another chess board for a good friend of mine (along with pieces) and a kayak that is about half built.
