Ridgid Shop Vacs

Ridgid Shop Vacs

1210 days ago by kosta | 12 comments »

Yo whats up everybody I wanted to do a review on ridgid shop vacs. I have been using ridgid shop vacs for about 2 years. I have the ridgid 9 gallon 3 hp shop vac and the ridgid 12 gallon 5.5 hp shop vac. I use the 12 gallon shop vac which has a 2-1/2 in hose to collect the dust from my tablesaw. I use the 9 gallon shop vac which has a 1-7/8 in hose to collect the dust from my miter saw and sanders. The 12 gallon is one of the largest shop vacs you can buy and its a pretty nice shop vac. I use...

Episode 79 Dewalt and Ridgid Sander Comparison from kostas workshop on Vimeo. In this episode I compare and review the Dewalt 5 in random orbit sander and the Ridgid 5 in random orbit sander. Both sanders cost around $60 so they are in the same price category. I have used the Dewalt random orbit sander since may of 2008 and so far it has worked pretty good. I have used the ridgid random orbit sander for about 5 weeks and so far its been working really good.

1424 days ago by kosta | 11 comments »

Yo whats up everybody here is a review of the the Milescraft sign crafter. I have had the sign crafter for about 7 weeks and it works great. I did a video on the milescraft sign crafter in Episode 76 MIlescraft Sign Crafter. Its basically a jig that you use to cut signs with your router. You can cut signs up to 36 in long. Its important that the surface your router bit is referencing off of doesnt move or your not going to get an accurate cut. Once you clamp everything down the sign crafter ...

Jorgensen 36 in parallel bar clamp

Jorgensen 36 in parallel bar clamp

1571 days ago by kosta | 15 comments »

Yo whats up everybody I wanted to do a review on the jorgensen 36 in parallel bar clamp. I got two of these clamps about 4 weeks ago. There are a lot of different brands that sell parallel bar clamps and I use jet and jorgensen parallel bar clamps. To move the head of the clamp back you lift up the handle and pull back. The handle is wood and is very easy to grip. These clamps have a lot of pressure so you never have to worry about not having enough clamping pressure when you are gluing up a...

1599 days ago by kosta | 9 comments »

Yo whats up everybody I wanted to do a review on Tommy Mcdonalds grand slam tools. I got the home run pack in may 2009. The home run pack includes a bench bat, 2 parring blocks, and a marking gauge. I dont use the parring blocks a lot but I use the marking gauge and the bench bat a lot. The bench bat, parring blocks, and the marking gauge are all made out of maple and the marking gauge has a hock blade. If you didn’t already know this Tommy McDonald just announced that he got a t.v deal...

milescraft feather board

milescraft feather board

1633 days ago by kosta | 9 comments »

Yo whats up everybody I wanted to do a review of the milescraft fetherboard. Most people make their own feather boards but I use this feather board from milescraft and it works pretty good. The problem with the feather boards that people make is that its really hard to adjust them to different tools. This feather board is adjustable to 2 different size miter slots. You can adjust the feather board to work on most cuts. You can use this feather board on a router table, tablesaw, and a bandsaw.

Milescraft push stick kit

1641 days ago by kosta | 5 comments »

Yo whats up everybody I wanted to do a review on the milescraft push stick kit. In episode 22 I built a push stick and that worked pretty good but I always had a hard time getting the wood to go straight against the fence. I got this push stick kit from milescraft .You get a depth gauge and a base with the push stick. The way it is designed you have a lot downward pressure which helps to control the wood much better then the one I used to use.

Milescraft blade changer

Milescraft blade changer

1648 days ago by kosta | 5 comments »

Yo whats up everybody I wanted to do a review of the milescraft blade changer. I have had this blade changer for about 2 weeks and it works pretty good. The way it works is you put it next to the blade and you raise the blade. It has to be lined up straight with the blade. Then you keep raising the blade until the changer lifts off the table that means that its locked in. Then you take the blade off. I have always had problems using a second wrench on the left side of the blade so this is muc...

Yo whats up everybody I wanted to do a review on the rockler bench cookies. Now I got some of these about 4 weeks ago and they work pretty good. I have used them when I was sanding and the one thing I realized is that anything that is smaller than 8 in long and 7 in wide its a lot harder to control. You can get 4 bench cookies for $12 at rockler.com

Yo whats up everybody on Wednesday of this week I got my skil tablesaw and I just wanted to give a quick review of it. Now the tablesaw setup will be episodes 40,41,42. In episode 42 I give a quick review of the saw after I make my first cut. Now I have used powermatic, delta/rockwell, jet,and dewalt tablesaws before and this one stood out. For the price I recommend this saw to anyone. The only problem I saw with it was that it didnt have extension wings and I was kinda pissed that it didn...
