Yo whats up everybody I have said for about the last 3 weeks that I am working on a big project. I am building a book case for the saw dust chronicles 60 day build challenge. Now you have to donate your project to charity or help the enviromant. I am building a book case out of oak. I am using a total of about 45 board ft. It is going to FDNY Ladder 120 and Engine 231 in Brownsville, Brooklyn. My cousin was working on ladder 20 on 9/11 and died thats why I have the text box on my website about the 343 fdny that died on 9/11. I started working on this book case on September 10 and I am about 85% done knock on wood. It will be between 4-7 episodes the first episode will be out next week. I have been really busy for the last 3 weeks which is why I haven’t been posting a lot on the website. I have put in over 18 hours on this project including the filming. The reason this project is taking so long is because usually you would use dados for book cases. I don’t have a router right now and I don’t have a dado stack for my table saw. The other problem is that I have about 4 inches from the front of my tablesaw blade to the edge of the table. The wood I am using is 7 in wide so I don’t have a lot of space. About 2 weeks ago I had what I would call a push back. I decided to drop the board on the spinning blade and that caused some problems. I am going to Brooklyn for thanksgiving and I am going to take the book case up with me I will release more info in the next few weeks.
