Yo whats up everybody here are some pictures of my first refinishing project. It is a fish tank stand and I found it in my basement when we moved all the crap out the day before the moving truck came. It is about 5 years old it is made out of oak and pine and I am going to set up a fish tank in the exercise room downstairs. I started off sanding it at 100 then went to 150 then to 220. It was a big ass pain because like say there is a 12 in space instead of a 12 in piece of wood there are 2 6 in pieces and where the 2 come together it is rounded over so I had to hand sand those parts. Now I just have 1 problem is that 90% of it is made out of pine and I had a huge problem with this when I built the desk organizer so im probably going to use shellac probably 2 coats then im going to stain it with the same stain I used for the desk organizer. Which is a mix of red oak and golden pecan probably 3 coats of that then 3 coats of polyurethane. I am going to make this probably 2 episodes of my podcast and those will come out in 2 weeks.

Hey buddy, re-size the pix in flickr, something like240×320 or so should work.

when you upload to flickr, it ussually gives you an option to choose the size that tehy will be loaded at. It ussually defaults to the smallest size (which is stupid in my opinion). maybe this will help you.

Have your say...
