Wood carving and other creative pursuits have kept me sane in these nine months since I lost my wild and wooly creative husband, JD Willson, to a sudden heart attack.
I will carry on the creative tradition of our family as long as I can with my blog, my carving, artistic beading, wire sculpting and fascination with rock collecting. The karaoke I do for me alone as he was tone deaf.

Welcome. You have found the right place for woodworking. A great group of people willing to help. Looking forward to see your projects and comments. Work safe in the shop and don’t forget to use pushsticks.

Thank you all. I don’t think any other site has made me feel more welcome. As for the advice, well I’d bet I’ll be getting a lot more than I’m giving unless there is someone out there who knows nothing about the ubiquitous red cedar or how to tell poison sumac from good carving sumac.

Welcome to Lumberjocks. The projects are an inspiration, the information is priceless and the people are supportive. The only problem is, the site can get addictive.

God Bless
tom

Hi there,
Welcome to LumberJocks… I joined the site myself a few months ago and will give you fair warning, this site is VERY ADDICTIVE, VERY EDUCATIONAL, and VERY FUN…. so sit back, enjoy the ride and learn from the other LJ’s as they are a group of extremely talented people that are also very friendly…

Enjoy your time here on LJ and pass the word to any of your woodworking buddies about us…

Wisty
