These things with rings of things seemingly align, attempting to become a single form. Sometimes these things with rings of things look lost. Look as if they are missing an important aspect of what they are. Maybe a line. Maybe a missing ring. Maybe, just maybe, they aren’t meant to be things with rings of things at all.
The mind is a very unique thing. Sometimes accepting, sometimes very rejectful. My mind at this point seems rejectful, but at the same time accepting. I somewhat like my things with rings of things but maybe it needs strings of things. Maybe, just maybe these strings of things will tie these things with rings of things together to become one with each other. To become my things with rings of things on strings. LOL
As always I welcome constructive criticism positive or negative. This project is a work in progress.

Hey Keith
I still wondering how you did the inlay on the circles? Did you use a compass with a blade and router out the middle? If this is something do would rather not disclose that’s fine. I really enjoyed the rings and things project.

Really excellent use of inlays. Your writeup is interesting too; somewhere between a great philosopher and Dr. Seuss.

if you find this post mentally interesting you might find this interesting as well:
perception, or things aren't always what they seem

Keith: I think I’d like a darker shadow on the top ring side where it crossed the brown one. To me it looks like it should be a bit darker than the sides of the top ring.
But very nice.

..but is your ring Abelian? Would your ring of things on strings be the same as a string of things on a ring?
Food for thought.
Geeky math humor, sorry.
Nicely done. I couldn’t do it. Be proud!

Keith: I went to bed last night thinking about these rings. I love the transparency effect of the small solid circle.
