I have read that some of you out there are into recycling wood or reclaimed wood, my father works for a school district as a carpenter (he is in management now), but he gets me reclaimed wood from the school that he works on. Once he brought me back 8X12 sheets of pine that had been used as shelving in a nursing station at one of the school. It looked pretty beat up, but after some sanding and work removing nails and some paint there was some good wood to play with. I have made some furniture for my house with this pine, the thing that I like best about it is the colors that come out after a clear coat is put on it. I have to say that these peaces are some of the most satisfying peaces that I have made and when I get the chance I will post them for other to see.

Welcome, I like your avatar. I’m always using reclaimed wood, I hate to see it going to waste.
