I learned basic woodworking skills as a young boy from my grandfather, who was, in hind sight, the most patient teacher I have ever known. The great times spent with him and learning from him can never be replaced. It's funny how later in life, we go back to the things we loved as a child for pleasure and relaxation. Now my children are grown, and about six years ago I began exploring woodworking as a hobby, from the roots up. I have become engrossed with high quality handwork and craftsmanship and using hand tools, and I am gradually building my skill set with every new project I undertake.
