I just bought this pile of air dried Cherry lumber from someone on cl. There is about 600 bf, I got it for $750.00, and it is already planed to a uniform thickness of 1”. I’m pretty excited to start building with it, but I’m kinda busy right now, so it might be awhile. I’m actually spliting the cost and the lumber with my brother and fellow LJ Ryan. As soon as I start building with it I’ll throw out another post.
This is the 2nd endgrain cutting board I have made. It is a small board made with Cherry and Birch, Still needs more sanding, a round over on all the edges and mineral oil. Hopefully I’ll get to some of that tomorrow. I also have another one started that is a little bit bigger.
Here’s the smaller cutting board I had posted yesterday, finished and the larger one that I had started. I still need to sand and round over the edges of the larger board then apply the mineral oil. The boards are made from Cherry and Birch. They are endgrain with 1/4 inch roundover on the edges. The smaller board is 7 1/2×9 1/2 and the larger board is 9 1/2×12. Thanks for looking.
