This past weekend we held our annual wood show which is part of our local harvest festival which consists of many different events held over a four day period .
Our wood show went well and the public attendance and interest was overwhelming .
We did a raffle for a box that I donated to the local food bank and I delivered the proceeds to the food bank today and had the director of the food bank draw the winning ticket and a seven year old boy was the winner .
There will be an overall winner of all the contributors that had displays at the show which will be chosen by the public but has not been announced yet . I also visited an old and working blacksmith shop which is of great interest to me and also looked at some terrific local art work .
I hope you enjoy the attached pictures .

Great display of talent—and, it looks like a lot of fun for a good cause. Congratulations and thanks for sharing.

Beautiful examples of the talent in your area. I really like that “cat/butterfly” board/plaque. Keep on, keepin’ on!

It’s nice to belong to a group like that, isn’t it. Our Vancouver Island WW Guild is having a show this week as well. I’ll get some photos when I do my shift on Friday.
Yours seems to have a little different format than ours but the point is to showcase the talent in the area and your area certainly has no shortage of talent.
Good luck on the best in show vote and congrats on your generosity.

Any type of woodworking show like this is a favorite pass time for me. I could go to these every week and not get tired of them. Watching different craftsmen do their thing with primitive hand tools is another favorite. Looks like you have taken up a whole table for some of your talented work. Those mallets sure look familiar. Glad you shared this.
And Klaus, I think you would make an excellent blacksmith.

Klaus,

I noticed a nice long table of KK artwork. Loved that doll house and was the furniture handmade as well? I’m also a fan of Intarsia.

Thanks much Klaus. So many wonderful craft works in that show. We don’t have anything comparable in our small community, so it is a real treat to see your show. We do have some smaller events, but not on this scale. Good luck with your entries, which should be top contenders from what I’ve seen.
