We’ve painted the cabinet black, cut the plexiglass, and added some 2×4’s to support the control panel and monitor mount. There’s a layer of plexiglass over the controls to protect it. It’s not actually cracked/scratched, despite what the picture looks like. We ordered an IPAC to connect the input devices to USB. As soon as that comes, we should only need a couple of hours to finish up everything on the hardware side. In the mean time, I’ve started wiring up the controls. Here’s half of the ground wires (about 1/4 of the total number of wires):

This is awesome. Are you going to use it as a MAME cabinet? We used to have one with a dreamcast inside. If you are playing fighting games, I highly recommend building 2 back-to-back cabinets, each for a single player.
