Location: Okinawa, Japan
Website:
I started woodworking in 2005 but had prior experience with framing carpentry and general construction experience. I'm a USAF KC-135 pilot and am pretty busy with work but like to do projects in the garage in my free time. Living in Okinawa, Japan has introduced a number of challenges as a woodworker- primarily the availability of hardwood lumber. I have had the opportunity to try a number of traditional Japanese carpentry tools and have found them to be excellent in many cases.
