Shop Fox mobile base
This a great feature to have moving a heavy piece of machinery like a table saw. Assembly was a piece of cake. There are a lot of nuts and bolts so it does take a bit of time. Rolls my new 340 lb plus G0661 table saw very easily. Can be adjusted from 20” x 20” to 29 1/2” x 29 1/2”. Can support 700 lbs. Heavy duty castors. Nice fit and finish.
My new G0661 Table Saw
I have my new Grizzly set up and overall I’ve been pleased with its features and performance. I started out a bit bad because in the box were four right legs instead of two lefts, and two rights. Grizzly sent out the left legs right away, so no big deal. The first project using the saw was the extension table to the right of the blade. Not a lot of cutting, but gave me a feel for it’s operation. My old table saw was a Craftsman 10” that I bought new 20 years ago. I sol...
Porter-Cable PC218C-2 PORTER-CABLE 18-Volt Cordless Drill & Circular Saw Combo
I’ve had this combo set for just over a year now. Overall they work good. The Nicad batteries aren’t as long lasting as I would have hoped. When I had the chance I upgraded to Lithuim batteries. That was an improvement. The drill has its quirks. The chuck isn’t the best. Once in a while the driver or a drill bit comes loose when using it. I have learned to tighten the chuck after a few uses. The cordless saw isn’t bad, but I upgraded to a better blade (the norm). ...
Harbor Freight 300 Lb. Capacity Mobile Base
I own 4 of these bases. Obvisiously I like them and think they are a good product. They are well made and glide easily across the shop floor. Assembly with the first one was a bit confusing. But after that the other 3 were easy. I’ve read from several sources that hardware is missing (specifically not enough nuts and bolts). All four I purchased had all the necessary hardware. The misconception is people think they need to place a bolt in every hole of the four corner braces. T...
Porter-Cable PCB660DP 15"Floor Drill Press with Laser Guide and Light
I have had this drill press for a year now and have no complaints at all. I have drilled through everything from 1/8” steel plate to 3” hardwood, and used drum sander attachments. Putting this together was easy, even by myself. The fit and finish was perfect. The lasers were dead on. There was zero play in the quil from the top of the 4” stroke to the bottom. The depth stop was dead on and easy to set. Changing speeds is easy and diagramed for my needs. My only complaint (...
