Titan Wood Post anchor system - 0 replies
Anyone have experience with the Titan Wood Post anchor system. I want to build a screen-in box for an area of my deck and would like to mount six 4×4 x 8 cedar posts for the framing and it seems the Titan system would be safe and attractive so I can mount the posts right to my existing deck. But it’s not clear if it is strong enough ...

Free ebook - 2 replies
It’s an odd novella and has nothing to do with woodworking, but it’s free for kindle users until Dec. 29. It only took me decades to write it. Advice on plan details for this chair - 11 replies
Attached is a rather poor image of a chair I’d like to make for which I have the perfect space. My questions are: at what angle do you think the side rails are set? Do you think the feet are each one piece or two pieces and what is that joinery. Ditto the seat joinery. Any other thoughts appreciated.

Yes, it is. I’m right handed but my dominant (aiming eye) is my left eye. I realized how important this was when playing pool because you should line up your dominant eye over the cue stick and for right handers this is not obvious. I imagine gun folks know all about this, too. Woodcraft had a nice sale on Japanese saws and I bought one...

retrofit drawer with sliders - 4 replies
I have a house built in 1926 and three of the drawers in the kitchen nook are original to the house. I’d like to retrofit them with slides so they pull out easy instead of the clunky one rail system they currently have. Is this doable. Any recommendations on what sorts of slides (there is probably another term I should be using) to use? Th...
