I am getting sick of looking at that partially tiled all around the fireplace (1.5 years and counting), so I thought it was about time to get making some wood chips.

Here is the sketchup model

Sketchup Model

Here is what I have accomplished so far:

Vertical Parts

And here is a mockup:

I am a bit hung up on how to make the arc part. Initially I was thinking bent lamination, which would be a first for me. Then I got hung up on how to attach the arc to the rest of that top part. Which led me to thinking that a glue up would be better. I could face glue boards for the arc part which is rather shallow (2in, IIRC) and cut the arc using the bandsaw. All boards for the top will be 3.5 in by 3/4ish.

Any other ideas, tips?
