Fireplace Construction #2: A little more progress

I devoted some more time to the fireplace project. Created the mantle. All pictures so far are unfinished, in fact, everything is just set into position. I am still trying to figure out how to secure this to the wall. I will likely also continue the wall behind the fireplace to the ceiling and mount the television to the wall. Lately I have been leaning towards a frame and panel type wall instead of painted drywall.
