hi everyone i have a question about behlen lacquer i went out and got some not what i usually by but the guy at woodcrafters said it out standing fine i got some , my question is how much do you cut it with lacquer retarter and how much lacquer lthinner i use to go 70 /30 cut 70 percent lacquer and 30 thiner for the first coat and then 50/50 cut but the behlen brand dos,nt say anything about cutting it i like to make about 4 oz and 4 oz that give me about 8 oz so if anyone and help me with a fornula i need about 8 oz mix. thank you kayakdude

With all the brands of Pre-catalyzed lacquers I have ever sprayed (Valspar, Magnalac, Rudd), I thin them 10-15% with lacquer thinner. I don’t use any retarder. Spraying two coats creates a nice satin finish.
Wax & Wool / or wet sanding is optional.
