Here’s my little basement workshop. I share my basement with storage boxes (hunting, fishing, camping, work gear, etc.), bikes (my other big hobby), all my mechanical and wash, and finally a mini home brew room.

The effective shop size is 13 ft. by 15 ft., which currently houses a couple of benches, racks, overhead storage, cabinets, dust collection, an early 60’s Rockwell drill press, Delta table saw with home made router table attachment, and a bunch of other crap that gets in my way.

Not a big space, but I’m getting used to it and there is a bulkhead out to my back yard. The space would be bigger if I finally get those two kitchen cabinets done and installed!

Kalep, it looks like you make pretty effective use of the shop space that you have available. Bummer about the “non-essentials’ being stored in there but I guess they have to go somewhere. Invariably my wife always looks first to my shop space in order to store things that she just can’t bear to get rid of and doesn’t have a use for at the present moment. This leads to some interesting “discussions” and I usually get to end the discussion with “Yes, dear”. :) I am also glad to see that you make use of the space between the floor joists. This is a nice way to gain storage space for those of us with smaller shops.

Thanks for the pictures. I enjoyed visiting with you.

Hey kalep,
With the space you have available, some nice things could be made there….Well done.

Have your say...
