I'm a Disabled man getting more and more into woodworking and scroll sawing. I have a 1 1/2 Car garage that I'm converting into a Wood/Scroll Shop, the garage is insulated, one of the previous owners used to have a Cabinet Shop in the garage, so it's already equipped with what I need as far as Outlets and warmth.
All I have to do is Arrange a Small Shop for some small projects, which is working slowly, I need some cabinets and all to store some of my tools, bench space etc.

Steve,
Thanks for the Greetings. I may be slow at posting cause I’ve got another blog that I attend to Frequently, as well as my Morning Blogging, and every day or every other day Projects and all.
I seen that the Woodwhisperer was here, and wanted to come and take a gander at what lumberjocks had to offer as I heard some about it on the Forum.
So far I seem impressed, most of my projects won’t measure up to the ones here lol By far.

Welcome! I looked at the other items that you have made on your site. Good looking stuff! Are all of the patterns you own? (I honestly don’t think you charge enough for what you do.) Looking forward to your other stuff.

All the stuff I have on my site are Free Patterns that I accumulated to give me a little something to do. I’ve yet got to figure out how some Do the Designing of their patterns.
You talking about on my Etsy Store?
I don’t know how much some of it is worth, I just put a price on it I thought was Fair, considering the Wood I was using and all.
I’ve only been Scrolling for a Little while, I learn quick and Fast, and I’m very Study with my Hands and all so I’m very Accurate.
After I done most of my Ornaments, I Tackled the Advanced Stuff right away, with the right blades that is.
Let me know what you as a Viewer and possible seller what some of it may be worth.

Welcome to Lumber Jocks. I’ll be watching your projects as I am just starting to do scroll sawing. Got a scroll saw last Christmas but haven’t set it up yet as I was insulating and wiring part of my garage for a shop. Hope to get all the stuff set up in the next month.

Thanks for all the new comments.
I have been scrolling not long myself, but I tackle any job and any project with an open mind. It’s all about the machine you are using, and especially the Blades.
Bureaucrat, I’m glad you’ve decided to take up Scroll Sawing. I had my Scroll Saw since last year myself, I only used it maybe 2 times and the second time it broke on me, So since I bought a Replacement warranty for it, I took it in and got my current one.
I was using Craftsman Blades for it cause that’s what I bought at the time of the saw, they aren’t bad, but they break easy before they bend and I believe they are made from Cast.
The BEST Blades to use from my Opinion are Flying Dutchman Blades from Mikes Workshop at www.mikesworkshop.com, I done a Small review on my Blog if you are interested in taking a Gander at it, I can’t remember what the title of the post is, so you may have to stroll past some of them, I know it was in Oct that I posted it.
Anyway, Blades Make the Difference. You don’t have that Perfect Blade, You will take down your entire project very easy. That’s why I mainly started with 5×5 squares and cut out my Christmas ornaments a few to get a Feel of the blades I was using, Then I hit the Fretwork. And you can tell the difference.

Hey Jimmy. Welcome to LJ’s. Your work caught my eye as I was checking the projects page. Nice design work. I do similar work, but with a band saw. There are some great books on Celtic Knotwork that have helped me on designs.

Beautiful craftsmanship Handi, Looks to me you have the ability to go a long way with wood working. You’ll only get better and you are doing great now. Welcome aboard and look forward to future projects. I don’t have a scroll saw but it’s on my list.

Handi,
There is a Yahoo group “Freecycle.” Folks post what they want to give away or what they need, and other folks in their area answer back. Here in CT, I’ve seen many power tools, including lathes, table saws and drill presses, go. You could go on Yahoo and see if there is a Freecycle group in your area and try to find some tools for modification that way.

I agree with Padre, though I don’t see many tools show up on my local Freecycle. I use it for free packing supplies and some materials. I see tools more often though Craigslist.
