Lumberjocks is just what I have been needing…a place to bounce ideas off others and have plenty of project pics to pick up on. I think my first learning curve will start with wood turning! I got an old (bulky) lathe from a family member and haven’t started using it much. When I did start, the intimidation of wood flying everywhere in a dangerous fashion basically made my first session of turning last about 5 minutes. After some youtube videos, maybe I should have simply started with making my piece an octogon (or something like it). I know a lot of folks talk about Harbor Freight tools/ pros and cons/ so if I should not go into this with a $15 set of chisels just say the word.

I look forward to getting help from others who can “hold my hand” a little.
