Part 1: Cool outdoor seating project

A friend of mine wanted a juniper stump for an end table and asked me to cut him one. I found the perfect tree that had been struck by lightning. It was so cool that I cut it as a pretty large stump and thougth he might like it as a tall table to stand around. He had just finished building a covered outdoor barbque area with a fireplace and decided he would rather have it cut in half and two seats make out of it to put on either side of the fire. Part 2: Rough Shaping done

His and Hers size stump stools. These are really starting to take shape. I still have to figure out what I am going to do about the holes in the middle. My first option is to fill it with an epoxy, but the little bit of research I have done looks like that is an expensive choice. Choice two is to fill it with bondo or wood filler and sand smooth. Not my favorite option, but is in the budget. Any suggestions are welcome. Also web links and how-to’s.
