« Part 1: Cool outdoor seating project Part 2 of Lightning Strike Stump Stools series no next part

His and Hers size stump stools. These are really starting to take shape. I still have to figure out what I am going to do about the holes in the middle. My first option is to fill it with an epoxy, but the little bit of research I have done looks like that is an expensive choice. Choice two is to fill it with bondo or wood filler and sand smooth. Not my favorite option, but is in the budget. Any suggestions are welcome. Also web links and how-to’s.

It is easier and much cheaper to plug with wood. Cut a piece of branch and shape by chisel then plug it in. Thereafter use a router to finally make a circular shape (1/2” depth is enough) then inlay with a hardwood of your choice to level with the surface.

You have very nice stumps in there…
