Gloat - 27 replies
A friend of mine (not a woodwork) asked if I would help him move some things in his deceased father’s garage. We were moving stuff into a dumpster when I spied this bench in the corner buried in boxes and other junk. I said if he planned on selling it in his upcoming yard sale I wanted first crack at it. He assured me I would be alerted IF...

I am finally getting around to starting the Morris Chair build from the plans found in Wood Magazine issue 112. I have been searching for the insert template/pattern for a week. I fear it has gone to the pencil hiding spot in the neither world. Does anyone have a spare copy or could reproduce it for me. I would be happy to reimburse for any cost...

TWW-Marc Spagnuolo - 5 replies
I would like to apologize to Marc Spagnuolo The Woodwhisper for a forum topic started here. I had misread his website and then posted crap about his site The Woodwhisper. I had also left more of the same crap on his site. Again I apologize. My eagerness to start something, blinded me and I made a rash AND hasty error. This has taught me a lesson,...

Looking for video - 10 replies
I think I saw it here on LJ. It was a vid of a guy building a table. He goes out to a massive log pile and selects a log, cuts of a huge chunk. Saws it on a horizontal mill IN his shop. Then does some more milling on the slab. Puts it in a giant steamer. He drags it out and used a come-a long to bend the sides in for legs and secures them in som...
