I made this little jig to sharpen my jointer knives. I got it from Brian over at Garagewoodworks.

Thanks for the idea!
I think I’ll try glueing some rare-earth magnets in a recess under the ends of the knife.
If I get cut removing the blade, I let you know.

I use a magnet glued to a dowel to lift and place the knives and gibs. My jointer is like brand new again. Knives very (scary) sharp
