I’m currently working on a 3 tier shoe rack, my inspiration was:

I’d made a few modifications, mine is 48” long, 14 3/4” deep, 24” tall and has three tiers. The sides and rails are made of 3/4” pine and the platforms are made of cedar boards edged joined.

I used the same joinery as Jonathan, Kreg Pocket Joints with 1 1/4” coarse thread screws.

Right now the sides and platforms are built, I put on one coat of Minwax Wood Conditioner, one coat of Minwax Gel Stain Mahogany(on the pine) and have put on two coats of Minwax Wipe on Poly in Satin. Getting ready to do the third wipeon poly and then assemble.

This will officially be my second woodworking project since setting up “shop” in my garage. The first project was a dog food bowl/waterer, didn’t turn out too good, but since then I’ve learned alot from watching videos and reading the comments here.
