Basement Workshop #2: The wall is up!
I have finished building the wall that separates the “shop” from the downstairs office. It went together rather easily. I’m not a professional framer by any means, but how can you really mess up a small wall like this? I got the 38” door from the discount section of home depot, the trim surrounding one side was damaged. I paid $30 for the prehung door. Studs 16” on center… so far unfinished drywall on one side and insulation on the other. I’m debating on whether or not I am going to drywall the shop side. I’m think I might just put a horizontal wood storage rack there anyway. Next step is mud and tape on the drywall and then time...
