My workshop is the 3rd bay of a 3 car garage. I’ve only owned the house since April 2006, so the workshop is still in the works. I did manage to wire up two new circuits (20A each, 3 outlet boxes each) along with front and side walls of my garage. This should provide the power I need for my work. I hope to build some cabinets and a miter saw station much like Norm did in an episode a couple of years back. (If anybody bought the plans and wants to loan them to me, please let me know.)
I’ll update this info with more as the workshop matures.
Power tools I have so far:
Delta contractor’s saw
Delta drill press
PC 690 series router
PC 333 orbital sander
PC compressor and nail guns (finish, brad, staple)
Skil circular saw
B&D cordless drill
B&D cordless circular saw

I will once I get around to doing anything. My spare time is at a minimum, so it will take a while. First, I’m hoping to make some shop cabinets. I’m new to woodworking, so this might take me longer than the average LumberJock.

I understand completely. My time is not mine, most of the time, either. I need to build some cabinets, a workbench, miter saw table, etc. I’ll be watching for your future postings.

Norm does make a sweet miter saw station….both the stationary and the portable one… (all in a half-hour too ;) )
I just completed (last fall) a miter saw set-up – we just moved, meaning I had some more shop space to fill…. it was “inspired” by the FWW Tools & Shops (No 160, Winter 2002/2003, “Smart Shop in a One-Car Garage”) take a look at my shop pictures – if you are interested I can take some better pics…
Good luck….

Hi Joshua,
You have a nice looking shop in which to work and a nice set of tools as well.
Thanks for the post.
