LumberJocks

I'm a dad!

I don’t have much time to post this, so it will be short. Two days ago, on August 8th, I became a father. My beautiful wife gave birth (via C-section) to a beautiful baby girl, Molly Hannah. She was only 19 inches long but a healthy 9 lbs 3.6 ounces. So, I have a good excuse for missing the DeCou LumberJock picnic.

I’ve got to get back to the hospital now. I’ll post some photos on Flickr later on.

(I know this isn’t about woodworking at all. Sue me.)

I know what you mean, Ron. I can’t wait to use Baby Moly as an excuse to buy some new tools to build her some furniture.

Congratulations! Enjoy your time right now… Ah, I miss those first few weeks, living life 2 hours at a time. Feed change nap. Don’t even try to get down in the shop. You’ll be lucky to get down on the couch ;)

You were missed a little at the picnic. I did notify all present about the baby so your name did come up.

Congratulations.

Happy Birthday, Molly!!

Enjoy every moment—even the 2 AM, tired as heck, moments. They will be gone so quickly.

Congrats Joshua,

Things are usually rough at first, but it really does get better. Just keep in mind that nothing is more important than time spent with the little ones.

oooooooooooooooh so beautiful!

here’s my tips (as a grandmother, and as an early childhood educator)
1. you can’t hold a baby too much—they are learning about trust and security.
2. don’t make the poor little thing live in one on those carriers.

That’s it.. I’ll take my grandma hat off now :)

back to” aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaw adorable

Congrats jstewart … and belated congrats lclashley!!!

(the good thing about woodworking is everything can be related back to woodworking … Lip Vision neighbor=potential customer … old neighbors = someone who might have some old tools … new kid = good excuse to buy tools and lumber for the rest of your life!!!!)

PS … I’m just curious MsDeb for um … no particular reason … but ... ummmmmm … how many hours a day = “living in one of those carriers” ... and how many hours a day = “just visiting” ... lol … don’t swing!!! lol
