Had high hopes of getting some work done today but just didn’t quite pan out as I hoped. woke up late as I went to bed late, I work from 4-12ish. I then headed to crossfit for an hour or so and was pretty sore once I got home, had some household chores I had to take care of before heading into the shop to start the day.

as I was countersinking some screws for a support leg for my new out feed table, my jankey B/D $30 drill I’ve been using since I bought my house 4+ years ago lose the battle. I had also decided the little $40 4v craftsman POS driver I bought last month sucks and was going to return it. what I perfect opportunity to get some quality stuff into the shop.

so I headed over to HD with a HF 20% off coupon and eyed up the 20v dewalt combo. I asked the manager if he’d honor the HF coupon which he said no, but would give me 10% off, I was cool with that and I was out the door with a new badass combo

I then had to head to Mexico to meet up my landlord and turn in the keys to the apartment I was renting down there. that ended up taking a lot longer the expected as I stopped for some food and a couple of beers before coming back north.

I did manage to watch a few YouTube videos and a few things in the shop. I started the candle wall sconce that was featured in steve Ramsey’s channel last week. I ran into a few minor problems that’ll I’ll have to hash out. the biggest was making dicey little cuts for edge banding from small pieces. so after I did what I could I came inside and order the micro jig Grrrr riper. what’s another $79.99…

I think that is a great driver/drill set. I bought it too, so I would say that.
