Well, the shop is close enough to done for me. The final piece was the Sawstop PCS that I got at the Woodworking show last month. The building is on old (pre-1950) two car garage. About 400 sqft or so. Walls are insulated with that 3/8” shiny foam stuff, and covered with 1/2” OSB. The floor (cement) is covered with the 2×2 rubber on the bottom/OSB on top floor tiles – makes a huge difference. I’ve pretty much divided the space into two areas – hand tools/assembly, and power tool areas. On the power tool side, we have:
Sawstop PCS Tablesaw
- Incra TSIII
- Incra Wonderfence w/router table (right side 32”)
- Hitachi MV12 router
Minimax MM20 bandsaw
Minimax FS30 12” jointer/planer w/horizontal mortiser
Jet 22/44 wide belt sander
Palmgren sanding station (12” disc, 6” belt, spindle)
Hitachi B16RM drill press
Benchtop Mortising machine (Delta?)
Nova DVR lathe
Dust is taken care of with a ClearVue cyclone and an overhead air cleaner
Shop is heated (and cooled) with an Amana PTAC unit.
The hand tool side has 2 benches (one a Sjoberg Duo, the other a piece of a solid core door on top of some storage drawers). And waaay too many planes.
It’s a tight fit, but I can accomplish what I want to get done without moving things (most times).
Since I recently cleaned up the shop, shop pics will be up this weekend.

Hi Jon,
Any chance you have some pictures by now that you would be willing to share with the group?
