I made this last spring, but a lot of credit is due to somebody else. Made it out of pine and I think I used a piece of birch for where the planter sits. When I finished all I did was stain but this year I’m going to sand, stain, and add a few coats of poly.

I made these in the winter, I just forgot about them. Made them out of birch plywood, 6 Trees for the “adults” and 3 snowmen dudes for the little kids. I made all of them on the scrollsaw one by one and I even cut the hanging hole part on the scroll saw before I realized a) I could have stack cut them and b) I have a drill press for the holes. Oh yeah I got the pattern from Steve Good at the Scrollsaw Workshop ( http://scrollsawworkshop.blogspot.com/ ).

Well this is basically a paddle cut down the middle with hinges. Its used to smash plantains flat for frying(or at least thats what I use it for). I used pine, my router, and the hinges off of the box that my router bits came in. I have yet to find some type of oil to finish it with that is food safe.
