I designed and built this fireplace surround this week for a client. Their request was for a paint-grade surround with simple molding to fit around their fireplace. The fireplace has a course of 12×12 marble tile around it, making the opening roughly 60” wide and 54” tall.

The picture shows the surround leaning up against my living room wall. It’s built in 3 pieces – 2 pilasters and a mantle – to simplify transport and install. It’s 61” high and 82” wide.
