no previous part Part 1 of Box series no next part

I’ve only done a few projects thus far. And this is my first time making a box.

Here is what I have so far. The top is heart pine and poplar. Still need to do some sanding, add a finish and hinges.

Here it is uncut.

This is a different box – but here’s the jig for cutting the splines.

And the splines drying.

Welcome to LJs. great blog, you picked right up on this. It is helpful to tag the blog with words that relate to what you are doing and/or the material you are using – such as : jig, splines, miter, box, heart pine, poplar, etc. it helps people find these in the future if they are indexed with tags.

Good crisp job joshtank. But beware, boxmaking can become an obsession!
