Do you ever go to the mail at Christmas and get something so unexpected, it blows your socks off and gives you a taste of Christmas spirit even when things don’t feel all that Christmasy?

Well, once again we’re on the move – boxes piled high to the sky and no effort to decorate, just to head off to the mountains to get through the festive season before we move.

And then there’s Sheila Bergner-Landry – you know her – the master wood scroller!

Today I received this lovely candle tray in the mail – so appropriately designed for where we live now in Calgary. So intricate and I can just imagine how many times she pulled that blade in and out over and over again with me in mind.

Please note that this is the backside as my flash was picking up the shine on the front. The front edges are beautifully contoured and fit a little plate in the centre.

There sure are some pretty fabulous and considerate people on LJ’s.

Another fantastic example of the wonderful “family” we have here on LJ’s. So appropriate like you say for your area and so beautifully done by our own master scroller….. what a wonderful gift Sheila, I can tell it’s straight from the heart!.

That is really a nice gesture from Shiela, Jordan. You are both most talented and blessed . . . . I only wish I could be a third as good as you are, Jordan. May 2012 continue to bless you abundantly.

Wow such a wonderful thought. The folks here are extraordinary. There is nothing so delightful as making a gift with your own hands or to be the one bestowed with such effort. Thank you for sharing this with us.
