Our square foot garden!

Me and Dad built this sfg in a few days. Most of the material was free or very cheap. I got a piece of plywood for 3 bucks and the 2.5×3 poplar legs for free from the dump at Lowe’s.

I know this is probably an applicable project for the garden tenders site but I haven’t had a chance to check it out but I will soon enough. If you have any questions feel free to ask here!

We have planted potatoes, carrots, lettuce, onions, and okra so far and still have 3 spaces left to figure out what else to grow.

It was primed twice with kilz and painted with some “mistint” paint I found at Lowe’s for 5 bucks.
There isn’t very much cash put into this project which I think makes it all the more rewarding.

after my table got broke in half earlier today, i decided it’s a good idea to make things for kids, so i threw together a kids size deck chair, complete with my own made up adjustable back. it has 3 positions and is all held together by deck screws. its all made out of 2×4 and i messed up and made 2 left legs. it was fast and made well.

Some ideas for what to do with this please!

I bought this 74×31 hunk of glass from work (lowes) today and I have no idea what to make out of it. It’s from a door and came with a matching screen. Needless to say I didn’t pay very much at all for it, but I was considering making a massive coffee table, but thought it would be fun to get some ideas from the jocks. So please share some of your expertise in creativeness!

Beginners Shelf

On a whim today I went to Lowes to check my schedule next week and decided to grab a 6ft piece of pine to make a shelf. It is 4 feet long and I made 2 brackets out of the left over 2ft and cut them out on a bandsaw and mitersaw. And just for funsies I put a v-groove on it with my router. It’s all glued except for the screws in the wall. It’s nothing special but I thought it was time I chime in on here with something I made :)
