I took a 1×6 piece of oak and drilled multiple holes into the lumber after outlining the gun rack’s arms. This is the second step after outlining the lumber with carbon paper. I transferred a printed pattern using carbon paper. After this step I cut out the gun rack’s arms on the ban saw.

After these steps were completed I took my lumber and started sanding around each arm of my gun rack. I ran into a minor set back with the wood gave on the 4th arm down from the top. The arm broke off in mid sand. We took wood glue and a clamp to the arm and left it dry over night. My next step is to continue sanding around each arm.
