I'm a computer specialist and an amateur woodworker who has just begun setting up a small shop (one corner of my overly crowded garage!) so that I can pursue a woodworking hobby. Or maybe a second carreer? I use it as a creative outlet, which gives me a break from my techy job. I should have done this years ago!

I've started a workbench, and need to finish the top. Of course, clearing out some junk to make room in the garage must be done first, so if and when I finish that, and finish my bench, I'll try and get some pics posted here.

I think that this is a great site and I'm very glad that I found it! I appreciate seeing all the projects everyone posts. Thanks!

Welcome to Lumberjocks. The projects are an inspiration, the information is priceless and the people are supportive. The only problem is, the site can get addictive.

God Bless
tom

Hi there,
Welcome to LumberJocks… I joined the site myself a few months ago and will give you fair warning, this site is VERY ADDICTIVE, VERY EDUCATIONAL, and VERY FUN…. so sit back, enjoy the ride and learn from the other LJ’s as they are a group of extremely talented people that are also very friendly…

Enjoy your time here on LJ and pass the word to any of your woodworking buddies about us…

Welcome. You have found the right place for woodworking. A great group of people willing to help. Looking forward to see your projects and comments. Work safe in the shop and don’t forget to use pushsticks.
